Lower Hudson Valley Diamond Foundation Announces 2022 Scholarship Recipients
White Plains, NY (May 18, 2022) The Lower Hudson Valley Diamond (LHVD) Foundation hosted an afternoon reception on Sunday, May 15, 2022, recognizing their 2022 scholarship recipients. The event attended by family and friends of the awardees, took place at the Theodore D. Young Community Center (Greenburgh, NY). The LHVD Foundation serves as the philanthropic entity of the New Rochelle-White Plains Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and has been awarding scholarships to students attending a college/university for over 40 years. The reception program featured Dr. Joseph E. Cordero, principal of the renowned Harlem Children’s Zone Promise Academy I Elementary School located in Harlem – New York City (Harlem). The LHVD Foundation will be distributing a total of $23,000 to college students during the 2022-2023 academic year. Yeboah – Peekskill High School – University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; Quincy M. Simmons – New Rochelle High School – State University of New York at New Paltz; Genesis R. Bratcher – New Rochelle High School – Bowie State University; Jordan A. Bryant – Ossining High School - University of Delaware; Carl L. Green, Jr. – Fordham Preparatory School – Morehouse College; Jalen W. Hutchinson – Rockland BOCES/Ossining High School; Jon G.
